My Current Interest

              I’m in kind of an odd position.   I recommended the Bookmobile Cat Mysteries to my mom after I read the first one.   Now she’s read them all and I’ve only read the first two.   When she asks me a question, I don’t have any idea what she’s talking about!   I have a lot of catching up to do.                 It makes librarian Minnie Hamilton very happy that the bookmobile she drives is doing so well.   Her cat, Eddie, is a big reason for the success, but that doesn’t matter.   As long as the bookmobile is a success, the how or why is not important.                 Even though Minnie has fun with the bookmobile, there is always the chance for unexpected things to happen.   Like the day a woman flags her down and asks Minnie to help with her husband who is having a stroke.   Barb and Minnie thankfully manage to got Barb’s famous artist husband, Cade, to the hospital, but the problems for all three of them don’t end there.                 During his rehabi

                Finally!   It took a while, but I have now seen the fifth and final season of The Doctor Blake Mysteries .   I am sad to see the show end, but I think it ended on a good note.                 Dr. Lucien Blake (Craig McLachlan) and Jean Beazley (Nadine Garner) are engaged!   After running into conflict after conflict, and problem after problem, Dr. Blake and Jean are finally together.   There is just one little problem.   Lucien is still married.   His wife, Mei Lin (Ling-Hsueh Tang), has agreed to a divorce, but the law is getting in the way.   There are very few instances in which a divorce will be granted, and all will cast either one or both Mei Lin and Dr. Blake in a bad light.   Neither Lucien nor Jean will let Mei Lin be the guilty party in the divorce.   Lucien wants to take the blame instead, but Jean warns him there could be severe repercussions if he does.                                           The thing is, Jean will have repercussions of her

               I am happy to say, Declan has greatly improved.   He’s not perfect, but his behavior is far better in this book than it has been in the last few.   With Declan going back to his old ways, I can once again see how he would be a good match for Katie.                     Two years ago, baker Katie Lightfoot came to Savannah to open the Honeybee Bakery with her aunt and uncle.   It is this anniversary that has Katie, her fiancé Declan, her uncle Ben, and her aunt Lucy out celebrating.   They walk along the waterfront where people have set up booths and shops, expecting a pleasant evening.   Instead, they come across an altercation.                 Orla is a fortune teller, and one of her customers is not happy with the reading she has received.   While the confrontation between Orla and the customer is not a good scene, it may not have gotten so bad had Orla’s family not arrived to make everything worse.   Since Lucy knows Orla, she is both curious and concern

              Well, here is another series I’m all caught up with.   It’s a good feeling to get caught up with a series.   Now I know everything that has happened and I am no longer behind.   Also, I can move onto another series.   At least I can until the next Witchcraft Mystery comes out.                         Vintage clothing store owner Lily Ivory is getting married, but not everyone is exactly happy about this.   Some have flat-out disapproved.   Still, Lily is happy, and no one’s disapproval is going to get her to stop moving forward with her plans.   She loves her fiancé, Sailor, and she’s going to marry him whether anyone else likes it or not.   Implying she can clear his name from the murder suspect list first.                 The person Sailor is accused of killing is Tristan Dupree, a man from Lily’s past.   Tristan has arrived from Germany with the claim that Lily stole something from him.   Lily doesn’t have any idea what Tristan is talking about.   In all
