            For the chance to win the DVDs (Series 5 and the Limited Edition Holiday Pop-Up Collectable), answer the following question in the form below:

                If you’ve never seen The Brokenwood Mysteries, that is okay.  Read the two posts I have written, and think about what you would sing based upon what I have described.

The Brokenwood Mysteries

Image provided by Acorn TV.                Every year I eagerly await the new episodes of Brokenwood (as I call it) to come out.   That’s why it is so strange to think I have only watched five seasons and a total of twenty episodes.   I would think I would have watched more.   Every time I finish with a season, I find myself greatly looking forward to the next episodes to come.   Maybe that’s why it feels I have watched more than I actually have.                 The police force in Brokenwood can never get away from murder.   Even on their days off, Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Shepherd (Neill Rea), Detective Kristin Sims (Fern Sutherland), and Detective Constable Sam Breen (Nic Sampson) get wrapped up in a murder.                 Always having a murder to inve...

George Gently

Image provided by Acorn TV.           George Gently is over.   Unlike other series, because of what happens in the last episode, I don’t see much chance of this show being revived.   Which is okay.   Even though I enjoyed this series, I think it was more important to have things end the way Gently would have wanted them too, instead of leaving things open for possible further episodes.   No, even though the ending is finite, it was, in my opinion, the best thing that could have been done for the character.
