12 Men of Christmas

I can’t believe how many Christmas movies I watched over the Thanksgiving weekend.   There are some I like here and there, but Christmas movies are not usually my thing.   The fact that I did watch so many in such a short spans of time shows just how little there was on TV.   Some of the movies shown were the ones I like, but there was a specific one I enjoy that I did not find.   That movie was 12 Men of Christmas .   It was aired earlier in November and I haven’t noticed it on again since.   I certainly hope it will return before Christmas comes around.   It’s a great movie and I don’t want it to get lost amongst all the new ones coming out.                           E.J. Baxter (Kristin Chenoweth) believes she has it all; a powerful job, a high priced c...

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir by R.A. Dick

I don’t have any idea how many times I have watched the film The Ghost and Mrs. Muir .   Whenever I come across it I always have to stop and watch at least a few minutes.   It does not matter where the action is in the film, I have to watch.   The funny thing is, that with as many times I have done this, I have rarely ever watched the film from the beginning.   In fact, usually I’m not anywhere near the beginning.   Somehow I have seen the end a lot, but how the story starts I have probably only seen two or three times.   This might be part of the reason why I was so excited when I saw the book The Ghost and Mrs. Muir in the Bas Bleu catalog.   Since I have a hard time watching the film from beginning to end, at least now I would be able to read it.   Also, I could find out how similar the film was to the book.   Some adaptations are really good, while with ot...

Trees

The other day I saw something really said.   I was in the car going along a road that I have been on countless times and saw a huge batch of trees had been knocked down.   The trees were knocked down so recently that they were still lying on the ground.   I could not believe what I was seeing.   Those trees had been on that road forever and now they were left on the ground as though they were nothing.   I tried to find out why these trees were taken down, but I couldn’t find anything conclusive.   The only thing I can do is hope they were taken down for an actual reason and not simply because they were in someone’s way.   Somehow I don’t think I’ll be that lucky.                            This is not the first time something like this has...

Liv and Maddie

I am completely surprised that my desire for tame is not yet over.   Usually these streaks don’t last this long.   I can feel it starting to wane a bit, but there are some things I am still holding onto.   One of those things is the TV show Liv and Maddie .   I mentioned this show when I wrote about the Disney Channel , and since then my interest in it has grown.   Why, I’m not fully sure.   As I said, usually by now I would be back to my more dark things which is my norm.   There is just something about Liv and Maddie that keeps having me tune in.   While I figure out what that thing is, I will enjoy the show.                 Liv Rooney (Dove Cameron) has returned to her home in Stevens Point, WI after spending a few years in Hollywood starring in a TV show.   While away, her t...
