Clue

As a very young child I sat upon my mom’s lap and played Clue.  Well, actually, I more helped my mom play.  If you could call what I did help.  I had a tendency to take her cards and show them to the other players.  Thankfully, as the story goes, everyone acted as though they had not seen the two year old commit this faux pas.  Showing cards does go against the point of the game.  It did not take too many more years for me to learn how to play for myself.  We frequently played at family gatherings and it is my most loved game.  In fact, my love for Clue is to the extent that I collect different versions.  Special editions, themes, I even have one I purchased in Spain.  I am not sure how many I have, although I know I can figure it out.  It is something I have done in the past.
Of course, with my great love of Clue, I had to have the movie.  Whoever made the movie definitely did the game justice.  Then how could you go wrong with great actors such as Tim Curry, Christopher Lloyd, and Madeline Khan?  Those are just a few of the people in this hilarious cast.  The movie runs pretty much like the game does.  Guests come to a house, Mr. Boddy is killed, and they must figure out who did it.  There are other side people, such as the cook, and even Tim Curry is not one of the main six people.  He plays a butler.  The butler, however, is a main character and very crucial to the plotline.  At the end, there are three possible endings.  I have my favorite, but I do enjoy them all.  Just as I enjoy every time I play.

You're making me feel old. I went to see this movie in the theater when it was originally released! I'm sure you know this, but, when it was released - you only saw 1 of the possible 3 endings - so you had to either see it multiple times in different theaters or ask your friends about the other endings (if they'd seen it.)
I saw the ending where everyone took a turn killing someone else.
My favorite character was Miss Scarlett (FANTASTIC dress!)
My favorite scene was Tim Curry shouting, "Alright! I'm shouting, I'm shouting, I'm shouting" cue the candlestick! Bong, right on the head!!!!
So funny!!
