My Fair Wedding Unveiled

In the past I have watched the television show My Fair Wedding with David Tutera. It is an enjoyable show with wedding planner David Tutera helping brides get their weddings together in a short amount of time. He pretty much comes in and takes over, creating a beautiful wedding in the end. Often there are difficulties to overcome, such as an unusual theme or a very stubborn bride, but Mr. Tutera seems to always accomplish what he set out to do. For awhile I watched this show a lot, but then other things began to take my interest and I only watched periodically. When I saw the preview for My Fair Wedding with David Tutera Unveiled (also referred to as just My Fair Wedding Unveiled) I was interested as I always wanted to know what it really took to get the weddings together. My interest did not lead to me actually watching the show until my mom came across it. She told me to watch and ever since I have seen each new episode as they have aired.

Everything I described above happens in My Fair Wedding Unveiled along with so much more. The show starts out with Mr. Tutera meeting with his team and viewing the video a couple has sent in. The bride and groom go over the plans for their wedding and show some of the fashion and items that are a part of it. Often there are differing opinions on what should be happening and the result of this conflict ranges from funny to tense. Sometimes the other people involved in the wedding are the best part of the video. Some are quite unfiltered. Then there is Mr. Tutera’s reaction. I am never quite sure what he is going to say, but it is usually quite funny.

After a bit of discussion, Mr. Tutera and one member of his team fly to the bride and groom to get everything going. This is also where they find out the true extent of the problems. There have been overbearing parents (these moments make eloping look like a really good idea), attendants who help too much, reluctant grooms, brides who will not shake from their own vision at all, and themes Mr. Tutera just cannot wrap his head around. It is a good thing he has such a great team. Someone is always there to help ease a situation, have a new idea, and get everything accomplished. With this show, we get to see the team more, which I like. Also, the viewers get a much more unedited version of Mr. Tutera which is hilarious. Another new element is we are able see Mr. Tutera on his rare day off. The sad thing is, the day off is never really a day off. Someone is always calling him, and he inevitably answers his phone, even while he is getting a very elaborate tattoo. As I myself am not a wedding planner I do not know if it is customary for them to be on call twenty-four hours a day. I would hope they get some sort of breathing room somewhere.

Whoever is able to have Mr. Tutera as a wedding planner is very fortunate. No matter what the obstacle, somehow he and his team are always able to put on a beautiful wedding. I think it would be an incredible honor to work with him and I hope the brides and grooms he does work with appreciate all that he does.
