Ghost Adventures
Gloomy nights are perfect for ghost stories. Thankfully there are plenty of what I call haunted shows on television. These are shows full of people doing real life investigations and revealing their findings to the viewing public. Sadly, my favorite show is no longer in existence. I do not know if it is airing anywhere in the U.S. and I have read that it stopped filming. With the loss, I looked into other shows and found one that I continue to watch, Ghost Adventures. The ironic this is when the show first came out, I could not stand it. In my mind they were too aggressive and strong in their provocation. That was not the only thing that bothered me. At the time I could not pinpoint what the thing was. Then I read an article where someone mentioned this show. I will not repeat what was said, but they made me realize that last bothering thing, and I have been fine ever since.
The premise is three guys; Zak, Nick, and Aaron; go to different apparently haunted locations and get locked in for the night. They use various equipment and tactics to record the results they receive and are always thrilled when they get some sort of interaction. During the investigations, they can be quite loud and brash, especially Zak the host. They do, however, go to some really interesting historical places. Most of the first half of the show is about the history of the location, both haunted and not haunted facts. This is absolutely fascinating. During the second half is the actual investigation ending with a bit of review or evaluation of the results. While I do take what they are doing seriously, I spend a lot of the show cracking up. These guys are funny. I end up laughing and shaking my head a lot.
As much as I watch this show, there are some episodes I have a hard time watching if I am willing to at all. Stirring up spirits in hospitals and asylums I have a big ethical problem with. Thankfully there are plenty of other episodes I have to watch, and I look forward to more to come.

Shows like this make me think I can star in a reality tv show where I watch paint dry.
